I'm about to write this "brief" introduction about myself, but I'm not really a "brief" kind of person...so I'm going to make this kind of fun to read so (hopefully) you won't skip over this part:)

 

My name is Soumya Vytla (the first name is pronounced 'so-me-a' and the last name is pretty straightforward except for the "y" which makes the long"I" sound).

 

As you can probably tell, my name is kind of complicated and gives me a hard time (like during roll call or with autocorrect which thinks my name should be"soupy" or "salami - no thank you). But, I'm not going to lie, I love my unique name and am proud to be Soumya Vytla:)

Oh, and also, if you couldn't tell already, I am an ABCD(American Born Confused Desi minus the "confused" part, so I'm really an ABD). 

 

Anyways, I am from Cincinnati, OH and am a junior in High School.

I could also say that I am an aspiring singer with ambitious dreams who just wants to use her voice to spread some love which is slightly cheesy but true:)

 

I started my musical journey at the age of 4 when I went to my very first Carnatic music lesson(a form of Indian classical music). Since then, I have ventured into various genres - all that defines who I am - whether that be Indian or American. I continue to use my talent to merge multiple genres to bring out the beauty in each. I hope to one day share my music with the world, and I am so excited to bring you along this musical journey.
